The journey began with two like-minded individuals—Sherri Brown and Peter Edgar—who brought together their expertise and experience to develop a line of natural skin care that reflects their dedication to wellness and innovation.
Sherri Brown, a licensed Esthetician and Certified Aromatherapist, has over 30 years of clinical skin care experience. Throughout her career, she has designed skin care lines for numerous brands across Canada and is highly regarded as one of the most effective cosmetic formulators in the industry. Sherri's passion for holistic health extends beyond just skin care; she holds diplomas in multiple disciplines, including aromatherapy, colon hydro-therapy, deep tissue facial massage therapy, reflexology, holistic nutrition, and more.
With this wealth of knowledge and a commitment to using the best natural ingredients, Sherri founded her own skin care line and has spent years formulating effective and innovative topical products. Through her clinical practice, she tested and perfected these formulations, ensuring that they deliver not only the highest standards of care but also harness the power of phytobotanicals to support the body, mind, and spirit.
Peter Edgar, a licensed hair stylist and barber, brings a unique perspective to the team. After years of working in Ottawa’s top salons and specializing in high-fashion events and weddings, Peter became increasingly aware of the negative impact of chemical-laden hair care products on both the skin and hair. This led him to search for cleaner, more natural alternatives. His collaboration with Sherri was driven by this desire to create safer, more effective products. In his journey, Peter began making cold-processed natural artisan soap for both hair and body care, infusing innovative, all-natural scents.
In 2008, Peter moved to the West Coast to embrace a more relaxed, nature-centric lifestyle, where he met Sherri in 2015. Their shared vision of creating top-quality skin care products using only natural ingredients was the spark that ignited Edgar Brown Body Needs. Together, they combined their expertise to create a brand that prioritizes purity, innovation, and sustainability. By working with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and focusing on producing high-quality natural skin care products, they built Edgar Brown Body Needs to offer an exceptional line that reflects their commitment to wellness and beauty results without compromising on the health of your skin.
